The principals and counsel responsible for your outcome.
Gravitas is structured deliberately small at the center — two founders with complementary expertise, supported by licensed counsel and a credentialed referral network. Every matter is handled by people you can identify, verify, and hold accountable.

Founder & ABS Principal
Alex Cassilly
Alex founded Gravitas on the conviction that operators deserve a law firm built like a business — accountable, direct, and structured to move at the speed of a deal. He serves as the firm's ABS principal under Arizona's Alternative Business Structure framework, one of the only states that permits non-lawyer ownership of a law firm.

Co-Founder, Partner & Lead Counsel
Ibrahim Farag
Ibrahim is lead counsel on every Gravitas matter. His practice is deliberately cross-disciplinary — trade and tariff litigation, federal criminal defense, immigration structuring, and business formation — because the clients who need Gravitas rarely have problems that fit cleanly into one practice area.

Licensed Counsel

Of Counsel — Southwest Practice
Arizona Supervising Counsel
The firm's Southwest practice is anchored by an Arizona-licensed attorney in active standing before the Arizona State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. This attorney supervises all matters that require Arizona licensure — including filings, client representation, and any work product touching Arizona jurisdiction — under the firm's Alternative Business Structure designation.
Identity, bar number, and credentials are disclosed to clients prior to engagement on any Arizona matter. This is a deliberate policy — we credential people to clients, not to the internet.
About this arrangement
Extended Network
The bench extends well beyond what's on this page.
Gravitas maintains active of-counsel and referral relationships with licensed attorneys across 12+ states. When a matter requires local counsel, specialist expertise, or additional trial capacity, we expand — and we tell you exactly who we're expanding to before the work begins.
Every attorney in the network is vetted. Every engagement is disclosed. The firm stays lean at the center and expands when the matter demands it.
